Services

Community Programme

Our primary goal is to provide safe and secure living environments for vulnerable children and young people. To do this, we have highly trained social workers experienced in working with disadvantaged or challenging backgrounds. These staff members are committed to ensuring that all clients receive the highest quality care possible. The team also works hard to ensure that the well-being of each individual is taken seriously, providing them with a sense of security and belonging throughout their stay.

Outreach

Outreach support programmes focus on helping young people remain at home with their families while enjoying community activities and facilities tailored to their needs. These programmes are designed to be both meaningful and beneficial for the service user, as they often centre around helping the person grow specific skills, such as behaving when going out for a meal or assisting them with homework. Everything offered through these programmes is based on a highly-individualised Care Plan completed for each child, ensuring that all activity is beneficial and appropriate for each person involved.

Outreach programmes provide incredible opportunities for children and young people everywhere, allowing them to learn essential life skills no matter their circumstances. From help with homework and leisure activities to teaching proper etiquette when going out - these services ensure kids get what they need to stay safe and healthy as they develop into adulthood.

At the same time, it's key that safety comes first- always making sure you or your child feel secure while participating! For anyone considering an outreach programme, research thoroughly before committing yourself or a loved one—this way, you can be confident about who is helping them build strong foundations on which to prosper.

New Directions / Shared Space

The New Directions Programme provides person-centred support services to those in need. Each person's needs are considered when creating their individualised plan. All plans are tailored specifically for each person, ensuring they get the support they need. This helps to create a more successful outcome for everyone involved in the programme.

The New Directions Programme also promotes community involvement by allowing individuals to become actively involved in their community and positively contribute to their local area. This helps promote social inclusion and encourages people to get involved with activities such as volunteering or attending local events.

Community Involvement

Shared Care

Our New Directions Programme is its shared care approach, allowing families to care for their loved ones while maintaining family links. This gives families more flexibility and helps ensure everyone receives the necessary support while providing much-needed breaks from full-time caregiving responsibilities. It allows families to focus on other children or family members who may require additional attention or assistance.

Aftercare Services

As you take the critical step towards becoming an adult, there is a lot to learn and consider. From teaching yourself essential home-keeping tasks such as cooking or maintaining a household to finding accommodation that fits your needs - these are all considerations when leaving care. However, we understand this may be overwhelming, so aftercare services offer support in developing vital independent living skills, which can help make navigating life outside of care more accessible and smoother for you!

Anyone aged 16 to 21 and has been in state care between the ages of 13-18 for 12 months can access our aftercare services! And if you're up to 23 years old but still engaged with accredited training or education, this service is available too.

Whether it's attending college or taking on some form of training that grabs your interest – there is plenty out there if you need advice making those decisions too.
